The awards will honor the efforts of SEE sector companies, investors and local governments for leading best practice and business excellence and creating favorable business environment for the growth of the ITS ecosystem.
Overview
The Bulgarian Outsourcing Association (BOA) and the Bulgarian Association of Software Companies (BASSCOM) invite all businesses in the sourcing and technology sector to enter a submission to the Innovation, Technology and Sourcing Awards 2019.

For a fourth time, the awards will honor the efforts of SEE sector companies, investors and local governments for leading best practice and business excellence and creating favorable business environment for the growth of the sourcing and technology industry.

The Innovation, Technology and Sourcing 2019 Awards will be hosted at a one-night event, succession to the 1st Southeast European Innovation, Technology and Sourcing Summit, organized by the Bulgarian Outsourcing Association.
Gala Dinner
The Awards VIP Gala dinner will honor the efforts of SEE sector companies, investors and local governments for leading best practice and business excellence and creating favorable business environment for the growth of the outsourcing industry in the region.

The awards ceremony hosts state officials, diplomats local government officials and 200 VIPs of the leading outsourcing companies, investors across industry sectors, telecoms, banks, financial services providers, legal firms, real estate companies, facility managers, HR/executive search agencies, recruiters, consultancy companies, commercial, logistics and transport companies.

Winners will be announced during the Innovation, Technology and Sourcing Awards Gala Dinner on May 17th in Imperial Plovdiv Hotel & SPA.
Rules and Fees
All members of BOA and BASSCOM are eligible to submit entries to multiple categories free of charge.

Non-members entry fee is 120 levs (60 EUR) + VAT. This fee will allow you to submit multiple entries.

All companies providing sourcing, business and technology services as part of their portfolio, all Shared Service Centers (SSCs) and R&D Centers, software development and ICT companies are eligible to submit entries.

All submissions should correspond to information and projects on-going at any time between January 2018 and March 2019.

All companies are allowed to submit more than one entry and in multiple categories.

If a company is submitting the same entry in more than one category, please make sure it is tailored to the specific criteria and requested information in the category entry form.

An entry form is required for each submission. Please supply all data requested in the entry form. The more complete data you provide, the better the Board of Judges can evaluate your entry.

You are encouraged to provide your official corporate presentation for reference.
Please include visuals where applicable as words (characters) in pictures will not impact the character count.

Please note that texts in tables will be included in the character count. The maximum total number of characters are indicated for each field in the entry form. Factors such as conflicts of interest will be taken into consideration before submissions are released to the Judges.

Judges will treat submissions as highly confidential. The Judges’ decision is final.

Innovation in Technology
The Innovation in Technology Award is for demonstrated creativity through the development and implementation of innovative solutions. The innovation should not be limited to development of a new technology as well as an improvement of the performance of the existing one or adding a new feature to an existing technology.
Technology Employer of the Year
The Technology Employer of the Year Award is for outstanding management of the company's most important asset, its People, as demonstrated by the company's Leadership, Human Resource Focus, Continuous Improvement, Business Results and Corporate Social Responsibility, consistent with the organization's long-term objectives.
Outsourcing Service Provider of the Year
The Outsourcing Service Provider of the Year Award is for suppliers' ability to deliver business value to clients, implementing industry best practices and contributing to the sustainable growth of the sector in the country. Judges will compare how well the candidates have performed in the areas Innovation, Human Capital, Talent Management, Geographical Markets & Customers and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Shared Service Centre of the Year
The category recognizes the SSC's ability to deliver business value to its clients, implementing industry best practices and contributing to the sustainable growth of the sector in the country. Judges will compare how well the candidates have performed in the areas Scope of SSC, Services Employees & Talent Management, Innovation and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
IT Product of the Year
The IT Product of the Year Award is open to sourcing, technology, R&D Centers software development and IT companies which are owner of the product. Judges will compare the Success of the Product, Innovation/Disruption and Market.
IT Project of the Year
The IT Project of the Year Award is open to sourcing, technology, R&D Centers software development and IT companies. Judges will compare the Technical Challenge, Quality, Impact and Size of the Project – Team and Budget (the size will not be the main evaluation criteria).
Software Company of the Year
The Software Company of the Year Award is for significant business and software development achievements. This category is open only to companies which can prove a minimum of 50% of their activities are related to software development. Judges will compare how well each submission has performed in the areas Innovation, Human Capital, Talent Management, Geographical Markets & Customers and Corporate Social Responsibility, consistent with the organization's long-term objectives.
Startup of the Year
The Young Company/Startup of the Year Award is for companies that are operating on the market for up to 3 years at the moment of this application. Judges will compare how well each submission has performed in the areas Growth or Potential for Growth, Innovation/Disruption, Market and Team, consistent with the organization's long-term objectives.
The Most Innovative Workspace of the Year
The Most Innovative Workspace of the Year Award is given for providing innovative technology-enabling capabilities to the employees and improving the office space so as to ensure enhanced work experience and employees collaboration. Judges will compare how the companies has performed in the following criteria: Design of the workspace in terms of Sustainability and Usability; introduction of Innovative Technologies to support the workflow and enhance the collaboration; employees' Well-being and Satisfaction in using and occupying the facility.
Research and Development Center of the Year
The Research and Development Center of the Year Award is open to organizations pioneering new frontiers for future Innovation consistent with the organization's long-term objectives. The R&D center may be acting as a single business unit or as a part of a larger company and performing both basic and fundamental research and development activities. Judges will compare how well each submission has performed in the areas R&D Capacity, R&D Intensity, Partnerships and R&D Achievements.
Innovation in Business Processes and Operations
The Innovation in Business Processes and Operations Award recognizes the implementation of innovations in business processes and operations to improve operational performance and/or to demonstrate commitment to the development and the future of the industry through continuous service innovations. Judges will compare how well each submission has performed in the areas Business Challenge, Project Overview, Results Achieved and Continuous Improvement, consistent with the organization's long-term objectives.
The Most Outstanding Education-Business Collaboration of the Year
The Most Outstanding Education-Business Collaboration of the Year Award is given to businesses who have worked together with an educational institution or participated in an educational program that fosters talent development and better understanding between academic and corporate environment in SEE. The jury will evaluate the candidates for the award, based on their initiative's Objectives and its ability to meet them, the Quantifiable Metrics of the collaboration and its Impact, the initiative's Sustainability in the long-run, as well as other details of the initiative that might be of importance.
Corporate Citizenship
The Corporate Citizenship Award is for outstanding contribution by a company to the public, its stakeholders or its people. The Award is given to a company who proves itself responsible for any aspect of the society, whether it's economic, social, or environmental. The factors used to evaluate a company as a true social citizen are Longitude and Sustainability of the program, Proven Devotion, Employee Engagement, and Impact on The Society.
Excellence in Balkan Collaboration
The Award for Balkan Collaboration is given to companies for an outstanding value-add as part of a Sourcing Eco-System. It will be awarded to companies for strategic sourcing arrangements with multiple partners. Criteria that will be taken into consideration include Details of business objectives, scope of project and the ability of the project to meet its goals, Uniqueness of the project and innovative approaches, as well as Best Practices that can be derived from the project.
Technology Business Building 2019
The Technology Business Building 2019 Award is for achievements of the real estate investors and owners properties and projects which stand out as leaders not only within their own areas but also within the technology business as a customer and the country investment community. The ACBO, BASSCOM and BOA board members will select the winners depending on following criteria: Building Specifications, Accessibility and Amenities and Property Management.
